K-12 Outreach After School Math Club (Spring 2006 - Spring 2008) co-organized after school math clubs at one elementary school and one middle school in the Tucson Unified School District.

K-through-infinity fellow for the 2004-2005 academic year. Conducted in-class teacher professional development at Sherman Middle School in Madison, WI. I worked alongside a sixth grade teacher to provide professional development on mathematical content knowledge, while she provided me with professional development pedagogical skills.

Madison School District Instructor for the 2005-2006 academic year. Provided one-on-one instruction in high school algebra and geometry for a talented and gifted fifth grader at Lincoln Elementary School.
Activities with Undergraduates Coordinator of Undergraduate Teaching Assistants from Spring and Fall of 2008. Recruited, trained, and supervised the undergraduate teaching assistants of the University of Arizona’s math department in a wide variety of classes.

Co-coordinator of the Putnam Problem Solving Seminar from September 2006 to May 2009. Helped develop curriculum for and facilitate the University of Arizona’s problem solving seminar.
Organizational Co-organizer of the CEMELA teacher study group for Fall 2008. Helped to develop the agenda and facilitate an outreach program to provide professional development to elementary school teachers.

Co-organizer of the CEMELA after school group from January 2007 until May 2008. Helped develop the agenda and facilitate an outreach program to provide a unique mathematical experience to elementary and middle school students.

Co-organizer of the Southwest Group Theory Day conference held at the University of Arizona on October 27, 2007.

Seminar Organizer for the Student Number Theory Seminar at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI from Spring 2002 until Spring 2004.
Departmental Service Committee Member of the Entry Level Committee form Fall 2008 until Spring 2009. Conducted classroom observations of new teaching postdocs and adjunct instructors at the University of Arizona. Participated in discussions about revising, abandoning, and adding introductory classes for non-majors, such as College Algebra, Statistics with Algebra, and Statistics without Algebra.
Professional Development Attended the CEMELA summer school in 2007 (at University of Illinois- Chicago) and 2008 (at the University of Arizona). Attended short courses on fields related to mathematics education research including second language acquisition, discourse analysis, teacher beliefs about mathematics, student learning, and formative assessment.

Project NExT fellow for the 2006-2007 academic year, a Mathematical Association of America program to provide professional development for recent PhDs in mathematics. Attended workshops addressing the challenges that PhDs will face related to teaching, research, and service.
