About this workshop

Participants will leave this conference with a greater understanding of the CCSSM in general as well as in depth knowledge on a specific part of the standards. This two-and-a-half day workshop is intended for an audience of teachers, administrators, and district-level personnel transitioning to the Common Core State Standards in Mathematics. Features of the program include perspective from lead author Bill McCallum as well as breakout sessions developed and led by teachers themselves. The topic of Focus in the CCSSM will be examined in depth, and participants will engage in creating their own PD focused on the major work of a specific grade band.

NEW! Reduced fee registration has been extended to April 15! Registration fee is $400 through APRIL 15th, $500 after April 15th and includes lunch on Saturday and Sunday and breakfast on Saturday. Accommodations

The conference will be held at the PD facility in St. Charles Parish, Luling Louisiana.

Participants are encouraged to book accommodations at hotels near New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, Louisiana. Shuttles to and from the conference location from the below hotels will be provided as well as transportation for an evening in the downtown French Quarter on Saturday May 26th.
