Course Information
You can download the syllabus and course policies from the shared algebra homepage. You can also download a pdf of my homework policy. I will post annoucements and updates, so make sure to check this website regularly.
Announcements
- There will be a review session for the final on Friday May 4 in Math Rm. 402 from 3pm-4pm. Do all three of the study problem sets beforehand and come with questions.
- The final exam for section 8 (this section) will be on Monday, May 7th from 8am-10am in Chemistry Rm. 111.
- Samples problems are available for the 4th exam as well as solutions.
- The official final exam study problems are available on the math departments math 110 page.
- Final exam review problems for the earlier part of the course are available online. These problems DO NOT cover everything that will be on the final, they are primarily intended as a review of earlier material.
- The fourth exam will be on April 26th.
- The third exam will be on April 5th. Sample problems are available, as well as solutions. If you think you've found a mistake in the solutions, email me! (Double check first though).
- Solutions to quiz #4 are available online.
- Solutions to quiz #3 are available online.
- The second exam will also have one or more problems from section 1.5, so you should study 1.5 as well.
- The second exam will be on February the 28th, it will cover section 1.6, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, and 3.2. Samples problems are available as well as solutions.
- Solutions to quiz #2 are available online.
- There is a review for first exam available online as well as solutions.
- The first exam will be on Monday the 5th. It should cover sections 1.1-1.5, but nothing from section 1.6.
- The due date for HW #5 has been pushed back to Monday.
- The review of basic equations handout is available online. If some of the things there aren't familiar you should read the appendix to Rudd & Shell (our textbook) carefully.
- The first day of class will be on Wednesday, January 10th.
