Announcements
- You can download a marathon review of final exam study problems. Although this list is not comprehensive and should not be taken as a complete list of everything which could be on the final exam, it is fairly close.
- You can download a page of hand written notes containing some additional review problems for exam 4. In addition to these problems, you should look at the chapter review section for chapters 8 and 9.
- The final exam for the course will be in our usual room in Chavez Hall on Friday, December 14th from 8am-10am. There will be at least one review session before the exam.
- The 4th midterm - which is the very last in class exam before the final - is on Friday, Nov 29th. I expect it to cover 7.2 and 8.1-9.5
- Two additional algebra review sheets are available; these are from the person who wrote the algebra review. You can find them here and here. The first set of problems have solutions online.
- You can find addition algebra study material on the web here.
- The last lab write up is due on Thursday, November 15th.
- The algebra exam is on November 19th.
- The final lab - lab 4 - is this Thursday. There is no prelab, you can download the lab itself here.
- A second set of review problems which is closer to the exam can be found online here.
- For those who want to review basic properties of trig functions, inverse trig functions, and solving equations with trig functions I wrote up a problem set. This is NOT all of the trig that will be on the exam, nor is it a replacement for studying Chapters 6.1-6.7.
- The 3rd midterm is on Thursday, November 1st. The lab reports are due on Friday, November 2nd.
- There is no prelab for the 3rd lab, but the lab is available online now.
- Solutions to the second exam are available online here.
- By popular demand solutions for the log problems are available.
- In preparation for exam 2 you can download an extensive logarithm review problem set.
- The second lab is coming up on this Thursday. All group members are expected to have completed the prelab questions in order to do the second lab in class. The lab will be due on October 12th.
- The second midterm is coming up on October 11th, it will cover all of the material since the first exam, mostly likely (but not limited to) sections 3.1 through 5.4. The day after is the final day to drop the course
- Solutions to the first exam are available. I am happy to talk about the exam, but please read these first if you have a question about how to do a problem.
- If you recieved less than 70% on the first exam you must come talk to me within the next week if you plan on staying in the course.
- The write up for the first lab is due on 9/20.
- As per the syllabus, the first exam is on Thursday, 9/13. If you cannot attend the exam then you should speak with me beforehand to discuss options, since students who do not take the exam will be assumed to no longer be in the course and may be administratively dropped as early as Friday morning.
- A step by step walk through of linear regression on a TI-84 is available here. The steps should be almost identical on a TI-83.
- You can read the lab policy online, in which it oulines the expectations for the lab.
- Prior to the lab on Thursday you should complete the pre-lab and bring your data with you. You can also find a description of lab 1.
- You can get a review of basic types of equations and how to solve them here.
- This is a tenative list of homework assignments from each section. It is not final until each assignment has been given a number.
