PRIME Extension Consortium
|
The PRIME Extension Consortium is designed to offer two types of services to its member schools in Tucson, Arizona:
|
|
PRIME schools have access to general professional development services such as attendance for teachers at PRIME Energizer Workshops held on Saturdays, use of curriculum material from the PRIME library, communication about mathematics opportunities for teachers and students, access to a "Math Help Line" for teachers to call when they have questions about mathematical concepts or research in mathematics education. |
|
PRIME
schools have access to fifty (50) hours of school specific support teacher
services. These hours may be used to
provide workshops at the school site, classroom visits in which
implementation of innovative lessons is modeled, assistance for teachers
who are implementing instruction using manipulatives and/or technology,
classroom observations with feedback on instruction, assistance in planning
for instruction or a math event like Family Math or Math Olympics. |
|
The cost to join the PRIME Extension Consortium is $2500 per school per year. For more information about becoming a PRIME school, please contact Linda Griffin or Kim Boling by e-mail. |
