The Party's Diary

  • 466 Age of Peace
  • Ulmira 23: The party discovered that the strong presence of the Magi Academy is due to the high number of Magic Catalysts that are born in their town. The party discovered that they and many of their friends were being "studied" by the Academt. The party then started looking into ways of escaping from the Academy's grasp.
  • Ulmira 28: Tarafal talks with his uncle Len about the true reason why the Academy is in the town. The party also discovers that one of the guildmasters is an agent for the unholy Order of Mordraed.
  • Keavra 16: In a nearly failed attempt at discovering more about the guild master the party ends up slaying one of his guards that resulted in the town disocvering that there are worshippers of Mordraed in the town. The "Test" for determining whether someone is a Magic Catalyst was postponed buying the party an extra two weeks to find an escape from town as that now was their only hope of getting away from the Academy.
  • Keavra 31: The party escapes! Len arranged a river barge to carry them to Falenstone City where they could stay low for a few weeks. Travelling with a plucky li'l gnome and a level headed fighter the party sets out to the southwest.
  • Aedenra 2: En route to the town where they would find the river barge the party runs into a battle between humans and goblins. After helping the humans the party meets Ian O'Conner, the son of an Arch-Duke (though they did not know it as he was travelling in secrecy). Figuring out that they have two days to spare before catching the barge the party decided to help Ian rescue two of his companions that had been taken by an ogre shaman at the beginning of the battle.
  • Aedenra 3: Captured! The party was captured by fairies and were transported to their kingdom where they were used for their catalyst ability against their will. This also took several days thus causing the party to miss their barge. Without much else to do the party commits to helping Ian find his companions and head west.
  • Aedenra 12: After tracking in the dense Druid Forest and encountering a riddle-loving druid the party got a lucky break and rode on a boat downriver to where the ogre's party would have to cross the river.
  • Aedenra 12: AMBUSH! The party defeated the ogre shaman, another ogre, four boar riders, and four goblins. Although one of Ian's companions was lost to one of the shaman's spells the party succeeded in rescuing Old Bear, whom the party will later discover was one of the old master-at-arms for Ian's house.
