Email Details
The best way to reach me is by email. When emailing me regarding a homework problem, there are a couple things to keep in mind:
- I can't always reply immediately. I do my best to reply within 24 hours.
- If I think my response to your question is useful to others, I
might post my response to the website as a blog post, and reply
with a link to that post. This lets me typeset my reply, like this
$\int{\sin(x)\,dx}$, so you don't have to read confusing ASCII math
that looks like this
\int{\sin(x)\,dx}. - Please title the subject starting with
Math 425a. That way, I can immediately see there's an email that needs my attention. For example, if the topic of your email is "How do I solve #5?", please write the subject of your email asMath 425A: How do I solve #5? - Describe your problem clearly. You don't need to copy the problem verbatim, but it should be descriptive enough for me to help you. I don't always have the textbook with me, so I need a concise description of what you're trying to do/prove.
Scheduling an Appointment
