Graduate Teaching Associate, Department of Mathematics, University of Arizona
Office: ENR2 270GG Email: [my last name][at]math.arizona.edu
Education:
- BS in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (Cum Laude) with a focus in Software Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Stout (2016)
- PhD Candidate, Department of Mathematics, The University of Arizona
Research Interests:
I am interested in designing and implementing efficient algorithms for computing information about finite dimensional algebras over finite fields.
Research Work:
- Brauer Tree Algebras - I designed and implemented an algorithm for generating the Brauer tree algebra corresponding to a given Brauer tree. (I also implemented analagous algorithms for Brauer graph algebras and Brauer configuration algebras.) Quivers and Path Algebras (QPA) is a software package for GAP which provides tools for working with path algebras and quotients of path algebras. My implementation is now included in the official version of QPA which is included with every standard download of GAP. This work began as part of a Research Tutorial Group with Dr. Klaus Lux, who is now my advisor.
