Tutor Room Closed

Over the next 3 weeks the Math East building will be closed due to construction. The tutor room has been moved to Disability Resource Center room B116. This room is on the ground floor of the DRC in the southwest corner, and is labeled on the directory outside the building. Here is a map showing the location of the DRC relative to Math East. The hours of the totur room have been shortened to:

  • Mondays 1-4
  • Tuesday 11-4
  • Wednesdays 11-4
  • Thursdays 11-3
  • Fridays 11-2

During this time I will be holding an office hour on Mondays at 11. The Tuesday tutor hour will be in the temporary tutor room in DRC B116

I'd like to welcome everyone to the website for MATH 263 Section 1, Intro to Statistics and Biostatistics. Here you'll find all the important documents for the course, along with homework assignments and test announcements. See the sidebar for important links for this course.

This class uses WebAssign for some homeworks. To do these, you will be required to purchase a WebAssign access card. New versions of the textbook will come with this card. The textbook can be purchased Freeman Publishing for $99.95, which comes with 6 months of WebAssign Access

WebAssign requires that all members give their university, and a class key to get the assignments. Our class code is arizona 4255 2439.

There are 8 homeworks though this class that use Excel (see the list). Complete the first 14 pages of this tutorial to get a quick introduction to Excel.
