Incomplete Grades: A grade of incomplete will be given only according to
University Policy as described at http://www.registrar.arizona.edu/gradepolicy/incomplete.htm

Students With Disabilities:  If you anticipate issues related to the format or requirements of this course, please meet with me.  I would like us to discuss ways to ensure your full participation in the course.  If you determine that formal, disability-related accommodations are necessary, it is very important that you be registered with Disability Resources (621-3268; drc.arizona.edu) and notify me of your eligibility for reasonable accommodations.  We can then plan how best to coordinate your accommodations

I will follow the Mathematics Department guidelines outlined in "Orientation to Math 302B".  The following represent my specific policies.

Homework:  The Mathematics Department requires that all instructors physically collect homework and grade it for accuracy.    So think of your homework as a take home quiz.  For each homework assignment, I will select five problems to grade and that will be your score for that assignment.  I will grade the same five problems for all students.   Homework must be turned in on the due date at the beginning of class.  No credit will be given for late homework.  No credit will be given for only stating the answer.   If you know that you will be absent, you should turn your homework in early or arrange for another student to bring it in for you.  I will take your best 10 out of the first 13 homework assignments for your final homework score.

Attendance:  You will be allowed three absences.  Each absence beyond three will lower your final grade by 3 points.

Exams/Quiz:   The dates for the exams and quiz will be announced in class.  In the event an emergency prevents you from taking an exam at the scheduled time, you must notify me ASAP and no later than the next scheduled class meeting. Failure to do so will result in a zero for the exam or quiz.  No “Make-up” exams or quizzes will be given in this course. At my discretion the percentage scored on the final exam may be used to replace your score on the missed exam or quiz.  If you know ahead of time that you must miss an exam, then you must take the exam or quiz ahead of time.

Final Exam:   It is the policy of the Mathematics Department that you must take the final exam at the scheduled time.  No make-up  exam will be given.  The final exam will be cumulative..

Child care:  You are responsible to provide child care for your children.  Make sure you
have alternate child care options.  Do not bring your children to class.
