Graduate TA

A Graduate TA is typically assigned as an instructor of one course per semester. The duties of an instructor include holding lectures, homework and exam preparation, and assignment of grades. Graduate TAs typically teach lower-division courses (Math 223 and below).

Super TA

In the super TA program a graduate student is paired with a professor of either an upper-division or an entry-level graduate course. I was a super TA for Dr. Cody Patterson's Math 323 course in Fall 2014. My duties included grading, holding office hours and on certain occasions, holding lectures. Math 323 is a course centered on proving foundational theorems in algebra and analysis. This course is required for all Mathematics majors at the University of Arizona.
